Moving Beyond Transitions: A Support Group for Women
This workshop is designed for women who are dealing with life changes such as divorce, relocation, illness, loss, caretaking aging parents, empty nesting, etc. If the stresses of transition are creating difficulties in your life, this women’s support group can help.
The benefits are learning to build resiliency, develop new coping skills and gain the confidence and courage to move forward and redefine your vision for the future.

Celebrating the Journey: Transitions and Change
Through my own life experiences, I have come to appreciate the value of transitions as they build courage, flexibility, adaptability and pride. Living outside my comfort zone is no longer the fearful experience it once was. I can take risks and now view these as opportunities to inspire my curiosity, creativity and growth. I have come to appreciate that disappointment does not mean defeat and I can take pride in my efforts regardless of the outcome.
It is through these experiences that I learned the benefits of embracing transitions. My passion for helping others who are experiencing changes comes from what I have learned.
The Art of Aging: Rediscovery in the Second Half of Life
If you are entering what is being called the expanded middle age of life, welcome to the journey. As people live longer, work longer and must respond to the ever changing fabric of our lives, culture and societal norms, the old model of aging and retirement no longer serves the purpose it once did.
So, how do you prepare for this next stage? You will be faced with new choices and challenges; some under your control and many that are thrust upon you without warning or preparation.
There are always choices even if, at moments, you cannot see them. You can decide to either embrace these transitions with curiosity, courage and commitment or allow your fears and doubts to take over and direct your path. The choice will be one that each individual must make and, as the upcoming new midlife generation, we can decide to work together to build communities and resources that are needed to forge ahead with passion, purpose and perspective.
Life Planning Network
I am developing a Life Planning Network (LPN) charter group designed for professionals working in the area of aging focused on this new life stage between midlife and later old age. The purpose of this group is to offer members a forum for collaboration, netweaving and education with other professionals. The expanded middle age of life requires an integrative, holistic approach to life planning with practitioners in diverse professions. These include financial planners, elder attorneys, life coaches, therapists, physical health experts, gerontologists, educators, philanthropy professionals, organizational development services, home remodeling/aging in place contractors, spiritual/personal historian/ethical will/legacy planning experts and eldercare specialists.
LPN is a national professional association which provides a network of experts, locally and nationally, for:
- Sharing and learning from like-minded professionals
- Building business development support and referrals
- Fostering collaboration
- Identifying best practices and innovative models
- Establishing speaking engagements
- Training, teleconferences and conferences
